Meet Jeanne Bruce

74th Assembly District Democratic Candidate

A lifelong resident of Wisconsin, I had the good fortune to attend college here and spend my career working in our state. Most of my career was spent working with non-profits and government agencies developing programand project funding. My experience includes the areas of housing, child care, after school programs, teen pregnancy prevention, healthcare access and employment opportunities.

Politics has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. When I was growing up in Spooner, Wisconsin, my dad was involved in local government and Democratic Party politics. He taught me that making government work is a shared civic responsibility. I chose to run for public office because I share that ideal. Government at its best provides vital services which help us live our daily lives - education, health care, emergency services. But most importantly, it provides a safety net when our lives fall apart. As a Progressive Democrat, I am committed tomaking government work.

“Up North” is a unique and magical place–the water, woods and wildlife. Small family farms, rural family businesses, quiet spaces and friendly, hardworking people. I will work to preserve and honor our traditional northern way of life.
